Table Tennis Success!
On 24th October, Leicester Grammar School hosted the Team Leicestershire Schools Table Tennis Competition for Blaby and Harborough. Leicester Grammar fielded teams in 3 sections. The U16 Boys Team finished in joint top position with 26 points - the same as Robert Smyth Academy with LGS Boys taking the trophy as they had won 2 more games. The Leicester Grammar U16 Girls team beat their rivals Kibworth School by an impressive margin of 20 to 4 to win the U16 Girls competition.
Both the LGS U16 Boys and U16 Girls are now through to the County finals in November.
In the U13 Boys section the Leicester Grammar Team again finished in joint top position, this time on 18 points the same as Kibworth School, but they narrowly missed out on the title due to fewer games won. Nevertheless, it had proved a very good evening for the LGS Table Tennis squad.
