Nuffield Research Projects

On Tuesday 18th September, two UVI students, Suhayl and Harroop, attended the Nuffield Celebration evening at Loughborough University. Students were interviewed about their research placements and were able to display their work. Both Suhayl and Harroop completed a four week placement at the University of Leicester over the summer holidays.

Harroop's project was entitled 'Developing phage therapy for urinary tract infections' . He worked with Professor M Clokie and Dr J Nale in the Department of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation.

Suhayl's project studied circadian rhythms using fruit flies. He worked with Professor Kyriacou in the Genetics Department.
