Captain Carnduff Tigers Debut

Leicester Tigers scored six tries in a 41-26 victory over London Irish in the Premiership Rugby Cup on Tuesday evening.

The win at Mattioli Woods Welford Road took Tigers back to the top of Pool 2, ahead of Newcastle Falcons who play their last game at Northampton on Wednesday.

Tigers had to come from behind twice in the first half to lead 17-14 at the break following scores by Bryce HegartyHosea Saumaki and then Juan Pablo Socino in the last play of the half.

In the second period, Hegarty scored again after Sean Jansen’s first for the club, with Charlie Clare adding the final try as Tigers made it three wins from four in the tournament.

LGS 1st XV captain Finn Carnduff got on for his senior debut as Tigers ensured the victory.
