Culture Day - celebrating our diversity

Our annual Culture Day took place on Friday 17 November this year.  It is an opportunity for our whole school community to celebrate their our own, and learn about others', culture! The day included a number of different elements, such as a culture fair in the foyer at lunchtime, which included the following cultural stalls: South Asian, Arab, Scottish, Eastern European, Australian, Nigerian, Jewish , Greek, German and French culture. There was also music, art-work and food to try.

Everyone was invited to dress in a way that represents an aspect of their culture and looked absolutely splendid!

One of the Culture Day stalls was for pupils to investigate the origins of their surname - they then pinned a flag on the map to show where in the world their names originates from.  The end result looks amazing and really interesting!
